Clement Davies
Clement Davies was born on 19th February, 1884. Educated at Trinity Hall, Cambridge, he was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1909.
A member of the Liberal Party, Davies was elected to the House of Commons in May 1929.
Davies was Chairman of the All Party Action Group which played a major role of forcing the resignation of Neville Chamberlain in May 1940.
Davies became leader of the Liberal Party in 1945 and held the post until 1956. He was also President of the Parliamentary Association for World Government. Clement Davies died on 23rd March, 1962.
