Robert Jack

Robert Jack was born in Bolton on 4th April, 1902. His father, Robert Jack, had played Alloa Athletic in Scotland before moving to England to play for Bolton Wanderers.

In 1910 Robert Jack became manager of Plymouth Argyle. After the First World War he signed his two sons, Robert Jack and David Jack. Robert had been playing for local side, Argyle Juniors.

Robert Jack scored 4 goals in 15 games before being sold to his father's old club, Bolton Wanderers. He stayed at the club for five years and although he played at various positions, he failed to get a regular place in the side.

In 1929 he moved to Clapton Orient and over the next two years scored 22 goals in 79 games. He also played for Yeovil and Swinton Town before retiring in 1934.

Robert Jack died in 1994.
