Tommy Dunn, a tough-tackling full-back, began his career at Wolverhampton Wanderers. He played 88 matches for the club and won a F.A. Cup runners-up medal in 1896. He also played for Burnley and Chatham before joining the Thames Iron Works during the 1898-1899 season. Dunn was considered to be an important factor in the team winning the Southern League Division 2 championship that season. Dunn played 21 games the 1899-1900 season when the Irons finished second from last in the top division. In 1900 Dunn retired from football and became an undertaker in Scotland.
