Adolphus Busch

Adolphus Buschwas born in Mainz, Germany, in 1839. At the age of eighteen Busch emigrated to the United States.

Busch joined the St. Louis brewer owned by Eberhard Anheuser. He did well in the business and was responsible for pioneering the pasteurization of beer. He also established the Budweiser brand and served as president of the Anheuser-Busch Brewing Association (1879-1913). Adolphus Busch died in 1913.
