League of Women Voters

After the passing of the 19th Amendment one of the leaders of National American Woman Suffrage Association (NAWSA), Carrie Chapman Catt, suggested the formation of the League of Women Voters. The main objective of the organization was to encourage women to become involved in politics. Its first president was Maud Park and Adena Rich served as vice-president (1923-1926).
