Times Literary Supplement

The Times Literary Supplement was first published in 1902. At first it appeared with The Times but in 1914 became a separate publication. Bruce Richmond, the editor of the TLS (1903-1937) supported and encouraged many writers including Virginia Woolf, Edmund Blunden, Sir Lewis Namier and Herbert Read.
