It is drawn from Vincent Bugliosi's deeply flawed "Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy". I would recommend that anyone who is really interested in this subject to read the much better researched Someone Would Have Talked by Larry Hancock or The Road to Dallas by David Kaiser.
