St. Pauls School

St Paul's School was founded in AD 1509, by John Colet, Dean of St. Paul's Cathedral. An ancient Grammar School had previously existed for many centuries in connection with the cathedral, and was probably absorbed by Colet into his new foundation.

The school moved from its original site adjoining the St. Paul's Cathedral to West Kensington in 1884 and to its present position on the River Thames at Barnes in 1968.
