Hugh Dundas

Hugh Dundas

Hugh Dundas was born in Doncaster, England, in 1920. He joined the Royal Air Force and served in 616 Squadron along with Douglas Bader, Johnnie Johnson and Jeff West. During the Second World War he won the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) as well as the DSO and bar.

After the war Dundas became air correspondent for the Daily Express. He was knighted in 1987 and was High Sheriff for Surrey in 1989.

Hugh Dundas died in 1995.
